Impello ("we," "our," or "us") provides a mobile fitness training app, an Apple Watch companion app, a website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Services across the mobile app, the Apple Watch companion, the website, and related services.

Information We Collect

A. Account Information

  • Subscription and entitlement status, if applicable

B. Workout and App Data

  • Workout sessions you log

C. Apple Watch and Health-Related Data

If you use the Apple Watch companion and grant permission, Impello may access limited Apple Health data, such as heart rate during active workout sessions. This data is used to display workout-related information in the app and on Apple Watch.

Apple Health data is accessed only with your permission through Apple's permission system. You can change Apple Health permissions at any time in your device settings. Impello does not use Apple Health data for advertising, marketing profiling, or sale to third parties.

Impello does not store full payment card details. Payments made through Apple are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's privacy practices.

Health and Fitness Data

Impello is a fitness logging tool. It is not a medical service, medical device, or substitute for professional advice. Health-related data shown in the Services, including heart rate, is for general fitness tracking only.

Apple Health data is only accessed with your permission. Impello does not use Apple Health data for advertising or sale.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, preserve your workout history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary by the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.

After deletion, limited information may be retained where required or permitted for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes.
